In these confusing times, things can get missed. Please let me know if you have trouble getting assignments. For those who may have missed them, these are the assignments I have issued since 3-16-2020:

Please share a Google Docs file with me with all your daily work. The file name should include your own name. Separate each day with the DATE and the assignment title. I will be checking each of your files for your work every day. Keeping it in one place (one file) will simplify this process for everyone. If you need assistance sharing a document, please ask. There are also many tutorials online that can guide you through the process quickly.

GRADE 6:
- In text chapter 12, read lesson 2 and complete review 1-5
- March 18 we completes worksheet 78 and reviewed answers. This relates to lesson 2.
- March 19, identify vocab lessons 3 and read & do review 1-5.
- March 20 complete Scholastic.
- March 23, discuss review and map questions lesson 3.
- March 24 complete as we discuss worksheet 79 relating to lesson 3.
- March 25 students created an interview of 2020 Pandemic primary source in year 2040. !0 Q&A.
- March 27, they were to look up answers for Presidential Trivia.
- March 30 we worked on pages 79-80 relating to lesson 4 This was first zoom class.Lesson 5 was assigned to be read. We also worked on creating a haiku poem.
- April 6 we verified worksheet answers as needed. Chapter assessment was assigned on 4/8.
- April 15 we corrected vocab page 84 and chapter 12 assessment questions. I assigned reading and vocab of of lesson 1 chapter 5 due on Monday, 4-20.
- April 13 Quote due Friday. Zoom classes. Attend class as per emailed invitations. We will continue work on chapter 12. All Chapter 12 vocabulary should be completed and the people. STUDY them. Use the days off to get caught up on all missing work. TEST ON CHAPTER 12 NEXT MONDAY. I will be recording grades for all quotes and Scholastic next Monday. PLEASE complete all missing work that we have done since MARCH 17, 2020. Trimester will be graded.
- April 20 - Our Monday's Zoom class will cover chapter 5 lessons 1 & 2. Homework will be to identify lesson 2 vocab and people, page 150 and to read lesson 2. Reminder for test on Friday, 4-24-20: Study vocabulary on worksheet 84. Questions will be sent to your school email addresses. Answers only are to be sent back to me by Friday evening. Do not use books or worksheets. IN PLACE OF our Zoom class on Wednesday you are to watch a YouTube program on the Terra Cotta Army: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-1IcaeuGnw The assignment for after the program is to type 5 very relevant facts about the program. To receive full credit (20 points) the fact must be very important, be in correct sentence format, and have no spelling errors. Email me the facts by Thursday evening. If you have difficulty accessing YouTube, let me know immediately.
- April 27 - For this week, our Monday's Zoom class will cover chapter 5 lesson 3 & 4. We will discuss the Han dynasty as well as practice map and chart skills within the chapter. Homework will be to complete reading of chapter 5. Reminder you should have taken the test on Friday, 4-24-20: Questions were sent to your school email addresses. Answers only are to be sent back to me ASAP. Do not use books or worksheets. Wednesday we will begin a writing assignment in zoom class. Start thinking about a person in history who we learned about this year. You will be doing a mini biography about that person. Format will be explained in class.
- May 4 - For this week, our Monday's Zoom class will be using your Penns Valley workbook. We will be starting our review of the year for the final exams. Lessons will be read, highlighted and completed. Reminder you should have taken the test on Friday, 4-24-20: Questions were sent to your school email addresses. Answers only are to be sent back to me ASAP. Do not use books or worksheets. If you have any issues, let me know immediately. Last Wednesday you were given a writing assignment in zoom class.You should have done a mini biography about that person. Format was explained in class and is on the bottom of the INFORMATION page of my website, https://mrswashburnbvm.weebly.com. Due Monday, 5/4.
GRADE 7:
- March 17, lesson 13 activities 3&4. Students copied Preamble and were to begin memorizing it.
- March 18, lesson 14 vocab was assigned to be identified.
- March 19 vocab test was given on lesson 13.
- March 20 the Jr. Scholastic was assigned due by the 23rd.
- March 23, the preamble was divided into phrases and the meanings were recorded.
- March 25th, 2040 interview was explained and they were to complete it.
- March 26 was a study/ review day.
- March 27 was the trivia assignment.
- March 30 was the first zoom class. study of lesson 14 vocab and we reviewed what the phrases of the Preamble meant. We read and discussed lesson 14. Activities were assigned for HW.
- April 6, we corrected and discussed the activities of lesson 14.
- April 8, we continued Constitution and the basic rights of First Amendment. Lessons 15-16 assigned for reading only .
- April 15 we began highlighting and discussing lesson 17, the branches of government. Activities 1-2 assigned for HW.
- April 20 - For this week (4-20), Review page 99-100. Read lessons 18-19. Read only. Zoom class on Monday as per emailed message. 9:00 AM. IN PLACE OF zoom class on Wednesday view YouTube program on George Washington: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBIGl61oxnA. Assignment for after viewing is to type out 5 VERY relevant facts. For full credit (20 points per fact), the fact must be very important to topic and typed in correct sentence format with correct spelling. Work is due by Thursday evening. If you have difficulty accessing YouTube, let me know immediately. REMINDER: Those taking make-up test will do soon Friday via e mail.
- April 27 - We will complete lesson 20, highlighting about Lewis and Clark journey, doing activity 4, page 117. We will read lesson 21 and complete activities 4 & 5, pages 122-123. Zoom class for Monday as per emailed message. 9:00 AM. We will begin a writing assignment in Wednesday's zoom meeting. Please attend. Start thinking about a person we learned about this year. You will be writing a mini report. Assignment for after viewing last week's video was to type out 5 VERY relevant facts. For full credit (20 points per fact), the fact must be very important to topic and typed in correct sentence format with correct spelling. Please email me the facts ASAP. REMINDER: those taking make-up test should have taken it last Friday via e mail.
- May 4 - This week, we will read, highlight and complete lessons 26-28. Selected activities will be assigned. Do not do any ahead of time, please. Zoom class for Monday as per emailed message. 9:00 AM. You were assigned a writing assignment in last Wednesday's zoom meeting. Please complete ASAP as it is for a grade. Due 5/4.

- March 17, Lesson 16 complete activities 4&6 Begin to read lesson 17.
- March 18, identify vocab lesson 17.
- March 19, complete activities 1-3 lesson 17.
- March 20, complete Jr. Scholastic.

- March 2, brief response, How could they help in war effort as a child and as an adult?,
- March 25, the 2040 Pandemic interview with 10 good questions,
- March 26 was a study day. March 27 was the Presidential trivia assignment,
- March 30 First zoom class. We began lesson 18, the Roaring 20's . Basic back ground given first. Vocab was assigned for HW. Please check Information page.
- April 1, we discussed and completed activities 2-4 of lesson 18.
- April 6 we completed and reviewed material of activities 5&6 of lesson 18.
- April 15 we began lesson 19, The Great depression. Activities 1-2 were begun and assigned to be finished by 4/20.
- April 20 - For this week (4-20), Continue review lesson 19 (pages 108-114). Read lesson 20. Monday Zoom class at 1:00, using link sent March 28th. IN PLACE OF Zoom class on Wednesday, view Dust Bowl program on You Tube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CM3ZHMBhP2k. Spend remaining class time typing 5 relevant facts about the program. For full points (20) the fact must be very important, written in correct sentence format and have no spelling errors. Please email me the facts by Thursday evening. If you have difficulty accessing YouTube, let me know immediately. REMINDER: vocab test on Friday lesson 18. Respond with answers only by Friday evening.
- April 27 - We will conclude New Deal, lesson 20 and complete activity 3 page 116. Read and discuss rise of dictators in Europe, lesson 21. Complete activities 3 & 4. Monday Zoom class at 1:00 use link sent March 28th. Zoom on Wednesday will be to check work and to begin a writing assignment. Start thinking about a person you learned of this year. Any time period may be chosen from Civil War to WWII. You will be doing a mini biography. Full information will be explained in class. 5 relevant facts about the video program were due on Thursday. For full points the fact must be very important, written in correct sentence format and have no spelling errors. Please email me the facts ASAP. REMINDER: vocab test was on Friday lesson 18. Respond with answers only ASAP.
- May 4 - We will read, discuss and highlight lessons 22,23,24. Selected people, events and Fronts will be discussed. Please do not do activities until directed.
